Successfully slowed down our pup who would “inhale” his meals
Sully, our new, 65 lb pup, was a rescue from a shelter where he sent nine months before we adopted him. Not surprisingly, he is very food motivated and would seem to inhale his meals. The slow feeder bowl has in, fact, slowed him down a little, which is a good thing. Recommended!

It slips
I’m the proud “momma” of 3 ASTs, or pit bulls in the common vernacular. Max is a sweetheart, but he doesn’t eat his food, he inhales it! Then he haunts the other two while they finish their meal. Oh, he’d never steal, but he might try to intimidate them into missing a few pieces of kibble! Or into trying to eat faster, hence eat sloppier and drop kibble on the floor, which Max WILL swoop in to grab! So when I saw this bowl, I thought Hmmm, this might slow him down! Well, it does! Max is now the last dog to finish his food, so everyone can relax while they eat! So, 3 stars for that! It does hold 2 cups of kibble, and would hold a bit more but the extra will cover the tops of the “baffles”, so they’d eat that faster. But it’s perfect for the amount that I feed at one time, so one star for that. But it lost it’s last star because today I tried it on my tile floor, and I had to pick it up and put it back on a rug so that he didn’t have to chase it across the floor. So it lost a star for that. I give this product a thumb up. (In all fairness, it’s a very light weight bowl, it’s going to take a lot to keep it from slipping on tile floors.)

Great replacement
This was a great replacement for an old cracked and broken one I had. It stainless steel and very light weight. It has a rubber lined bottom to help stay in place. This is for my 4 yr old lab and was the same size as the old one.

Ten out of ten
My rescue dog was starved, and now has a habit of gulping her food, forcing my other dogs to eat quickly as well. She’s very short with a large head and had problems with traditional slow feeders. The channels were just too narrow for her to access. Plus the bowl slides around. This one is perfect, it shows her down just enough without frustration. Now all three dogs finish around the same time.

Exactly what we needed!
My large German Shepherd eats too quickly and we wanted to change his bowls from plastic to stainless for hygiene. When the item arrived I was worried the slow feeder impressions were too shallow to slow him down but itâs actually very effective. Works better than his last slow feeder and is very easy to wash.

Good For Medium Breed
After seeing some of the other reviews of this slow feeder, I wanted to try this out on my Basset/Dachshund mix hound who is about 30lbs with a smaller, but elongated snout. The feeder does work well in slowing him down from gulping, forcing him to work around the obstacles to eat. Instead of the seemingly momentary 1 minute to eat his food in a traditional bowl, this feeder makes him take about 5-6 minutes to completely clean the bowl. However, the feeder has a non-slip strip on the back (although you can use both sides) that has already partially fallen off with four days of use and hand washing. It is a little more weighty than other slow feeders and does stay in place.

It holds a lot of food
After purchasing several slow feeders, this one did the job the best. My dog had a tendency of chewing the sides of the plastic ones and after purchasing several ones I decided to go with a metal and I am very satisfied that I did.

Super awesome bowl
This does a great job of slowing down my dogs who loves to wolf down her food. She has to take her time eating now so less stomach issues. Very happy with this product.
