Loud and effective!
This is a great whistle. Very loud and high-pitched to carry very far. I’ve been training my dogs to come to two tweets (eventually I want to progress to one tweet = sit and STAY, two tweets = come) and this past weekend had it with me when we went camping with a large group of friends and 8 dogs. at one point some strangers neared our camp and the whole pack went to investigate – way on the other side of the clearing. while everyone else was ineffectively yelling at their dogs to come back I blew the whistle and my two came racing back (followed by a few of the other dogs who seemed curious). The sound of the whistle definitely carried over the mass of voices, and even cut through the pack intensity to distract my dogs from their investigation of the strangers. my friends were all impressed (although one told me to warn her next time – her ears were ringing!).This is not a silent whistle by any means! but it IS one that dogs pick up on quickly, and can hear even when there is lots of other noise and distractions.

The dogs come a’runnin
We have quite a bit of property that we have a geo-fence around. The dogs can run up to 5 acres away. There has only been one time the dogs didn’t respond to this whistle. Each and every other time, they come running regardless of what they are doing. It grabs their attention so thoroughly that no matter what’s going on for them, they respond. It is the ultimate ‘dinner-is-ready’ triangle. Full recommendations from this household.

Easy to use and clean, not silent
This whistle is definitely not silent. I work at a dog daycare and use this to break dogs’ attention when things get to be too much. It works well on some dogs but honestly a lot of dogs ignore it (and I dont use it often that way they dont get used to it). Overall I like it though. Keeping it on my key chain as another tool for dog handling and im glad to have it.

Loud!!
This was listed with the deaf dog & training whistles that were silent. That was what I wanted & have used before. This is very loud & Iâm sure the farm down the road will hear it too. ð Only tried it last evening at feeding time & the old mostly deaf Springer came a couple of minutes after the young Heeler. So might work just fine. The whistle is made well & should last for what we need. Iâve never had a plastic one before but itâs seems fine.

Good whistle, great for dog training.
It’s a solid whistle. One piece, plastic, and plenty loud/high-pitched enough for my dog. It’s light enough to carry on a lanyard, and sturdy enough that I don’t have to worry about breaking it. This is way better and more practical than the little two-piece metal whistle they sell at all the big pet stores.Dog whistles aren’t magic. Your dog can hear it just fine. If you condition your dog to respond to the whistle, she will. But don’t think you can buy this and have dogs automatically come (or go away, or be quiet, or whatever) when you blow it.

It doesn’t make the next door neighbor’s dog be quiet
It whistles but it’s a high-pitched whistle and it’s very hard on my ears so I guess it’s not high enough for dogs because the neighbor dog doesn’t seem to care when I blow it.
