Great for getting trapped fur
My cats LOVE being brushed, but a lot of the brushes I have don’t really get trapped loose fur in their undercoat. I have a small dematting comb that looks like this brush, but that comb only has a few hooks and can only be used in one direction. When I saw this, I was really hoping it would be a large version of that comb. It basically is, but not as “sharp”. It doesn’t break up trapped fur as well as the comb, but it still does an amazing job compared to standard brushes. If I brush them backwards or sideways with this brush it gets so much fur out and they don’t seem to mind because the rake is actually soft on their skin compared to the dematting comb. I’ve brushed all of them with this and they all feel so soft now. If you are looking for a gentle rake this is a great option. If you are looking for a rake to break up matting, I don’t think this will work well. My cats are shorthair, so I don’t need it for dematting. The comb that comes with this set is very large and not really good for cats, but I do use it to gather loose fur off their coats after I brush them. The comb is probably better for dogs.

Solid Metal Pet Brush
This pet brush is made of solid metal, not cheap plastic, which is a big plus.The handle is also made up of premium plastic. It’s sturdy and feels like it will last. The double-sided design is helpful for different fur types. I found it effective at removing mats and undercoat. However, be gentle since it might be rough for your pet if you pull the brush through their tangled hair. If your pet hair are tangled very heavily, then you don’t want to just directly brush. You need to first shampoo them and then use the brush otherwise pulling the knots using brush will be very painful. Overall, it’s a decent brush for the price.

This Tpotato deshedding tool makes quick work of removing undercoat from our medium hair ginger. The ends are rounded, not sharp, so I have no fear of hurting him. The insides of the curves are very sharp so this pulls easily through his fur. If thereâs a mat that isnât too close to the skin this will pull right through it. Best Deshedding Brush
I have been a follower of the furminator for years. That is until I learned about this deshedding tool from Tpotato. I have two black labs who shed six months in spring, and six months in fall. Needless to say, I am needing to deshed them all the time. This tool is thorough, easy to handle, and the dogs don’t mind the brushing. I am always amazed how much fur they shed. This tool helps me stay ahead of the dust bunnies!

Dog deshedding comb
This deshedding comb is interesting, I have used the furminator before and that did an awesome job. This one has much wider spacing between the bristles. It also has hooks at the end to grab and pull the hair out. My dog is shedding right now so I canât say how it works, but I am confident that it will at least help with the shedding.

I am very happy with this deshedding tool set. The deshedding tool works well and is easy to use. It is very effective at clearing out the undercoat and removing loose fur. It is safe to use and does not seem to be uncomfortable for either you or the dog.I like that it also comes with a comb to help brush through the coat and remove excess fur.
